New route to Frankfurt joining current network   Ryanair, Europe’s favourite low cost airline is announcing its third Plovdiv route to Frankfurt Hahn which will operate alongside is London and Milan from 03rd November 2011.

This is one of the best preserved ancient theatres in the world. Built at the end of 1st – the beginning of 2nd century under Emperor Trajan, the theater was one of the major public buildings of the ancient Philipopolis. It is situated on the southern slope of Three-hills in the saddle between Dzhambaztepe and Taksimtepe. In addition to theatrical performances it was used for gladiators’ and hunting games. It was active until the fifth century and had capacity of 6000 spectators. In 1981 it was partially restored....

 It is obligatory to visit the Asenovgrad fortress, which is only 2 km away from the town. Asen's fortress /Petrichka fortress before its rename in honour of tsar Ivan-Asen II/ is no doubt the most interesting and the long-preserved in time monument of culture in Asenovgrad – with chronological boundaries from the old bronze epoch till the beginning of the 15th century. The fortress is built on an inaccessible rock at the beginning of the passage, connecting Thrace with the White Sea region. The only way of approaching it...

This year are being completed 100 years from the decree of the Bulgarian Government to create military aviation from which later on have been born the civil, transport, agricultural and special aviation branches, air traffic control services, “28th Air Squadron” and the aviation of the Ministry of Interior.
